This is not exactly news to many of the thousands of visitors who regularly come to the island in search of the sun. But the island doesn'tīt just enjoy good weather as it also has an fantastic selection of tourist accommodation on offer.
Currently, ever more tourists will opt to stay in holiday villas in Lanzarote rather than opting for a package tour or hotel. As this provides a much more individual and comfortable type of stay, with many of the conveniences guests are used to at home. The island has a well developed tourist infrastructure already in place, with the oldest resort of Puerto del Carmen undergoing numerous improvements to keep its competitive edge. And Puerto del Carmen villas on the whole are based in the most exclusive areas of the town.
This ensures that visitors staying in a villa will experience the best aspects of the resort during their stay. Whilst the newer resort in the south fares just as well with an huge range of Playa Blanca villas available which tend to range quite dramatically in size, price and style.
Where both resorts come out equally well is in their unique micro-climates which means that daytime temperatures here are noticeably higher than in other spots around the island. Equally The beaches in both towns are also considered amongst the best the island has.
However, many of those staying in villas in Lanzarote enjoy the luxury of a private pools so some villa guests often stay put preferring to while away their time at their home away from home. But if you do find all that sunbathing a little tedious Lanzarote offers up plenty of thing to see.
For a small island, it has a high number of attractions and sites of interest, which offer a good range of things to do, from cultural activities to sports. Many of these provide a unique insight into the lives of Canarians both historically and during the present. So even travellers who are not driven to seek the sun will find there is plenty to do on Lanzarote.
