Holiday makers have been arriving for winter and springtime breaks to Lanzarote for countless years now. A newly released survey by the Spanish Meteorological Agency demonstrates that the Canary Islands basked in higher than average temperatures for the time of year between December and February. Of course routine guests will simply see this as an extra bonus.

The coastal areas of each island registered 19.4º C on average, a rise of 1ºC when compared with previous years. This outstanding spell of weather just really helps to confirm the island´s popularity as a winter sun vacation spot.

This is not exactly news to many of the thousands of visitors who regularly come to the island in search of the sun. But the island doesn't´t just enjoy good weather as it also has an fantastic selection of tourist accommodation on offer.

Currently, ever more tourists will opt to stay in holiday villas in Lanzarote rather than opting for a package tour or hotel.
